Brandon "Amayzn" Nelson is a decorated spoken word artist known for his impactful, down to earth, high-energy delivery. Born and raised Kansas City, Missouri, he has dedicated his talents to reaching those often looked over by academic speakers. From his point of view the connection to people is more important than being technically correct or talking over their heads. Amayzn is also a vocalist, radio personality, mentor, and host. He has shared the stage with many greats, having his work recorded and distributed to the masses. He is also a competitive poet having had the opportunity to represent Kansas City nationally and winning many competitions locally.
