From the moment Zachary Joseph Geaber could walk, he could sense the wonder of the world around him. Zach was raised in the woods of Rhode Island, in the days when kids were still told to go off and play outside by themselves. Zach and his neighborhood friends learned to make the natural world their home for adventure from an early age. His early years fostered a deep love for nature. In his later years Zach spent countless hours studying about native plants, and learning primitive wilder- ness skills. Being outside and among nature is still what Zach loves doing best.Now the father of three spirited children who share the same love for all things wild, Zach wrote The Hidden Magic Of Plants to help teach kids and their families about the edible and medicinal plants surrounding them every day. Technology is disconnecting our kids from nature at a rapid pace. His passion is to get them back outside to understand and utilize the hidden magic around them. It was a stroke of luck to find a kindred spirit in Marcia Adams Ho to illustrate his story.Zach holds a degree in Landscape Architecture. He is the president and founder of Native New England Landscapes INC. Zach resides in Wakefield, RI with his wife, three children and countless woodland creatures.
