Whether you're a kid taking a spelling test, or a neurosurgeon operating on a tough case, there are huge benefits in understanding anxiety. Eliminating fear starts with understanding core safety. Brains and bodies are hardwired for safety. Physical safety is usually attended but internal core safety is often treated downright recklessly. No wonder anxiety is common! Whether fear surfaces as performance anxiety...sports, business, financial, relationship, appearance, or test anxiety...fear always indicates a core safety concern. The real problem is being "unsure of coming out okay" or "Outcome Anxiety". Outcome anxiety also surfaces as phobias, apprehension, memory lapses, inconsistency, procrastination, indecision, dissatisfaction, stress, avoidance, tension, insecurity and frustration. The only way to eliminate anxieties is to meet core needs. This book shows you how. In light, easy chapters it uses powerful physiological, neurological, psychological, and interpersonal information to build core strength. It's almost impossible to override fear safety mechanisms, but it's relatively easy to build core strength. When the core is strong, fear steps down. Anxiety melts. Ability soars. The result is genuine confidence and that confidence dissipates fear like light dissipates darkness. Everything changes. This isn't about managing anxiety, it's about eliminating it.
