Employee Training and development (T & D) aimed at improving current and future employee performance. Thus employee training programmes should address not only their knowledge & skills but attitude & self-perception as well. The self-efficacy antecedents resemble different types of training. The effectiveness of each type of training varies depending on the task been performed. The study primarily investigates the varying effects of types of employee training (self-efficacy antecedents) for operational and for servicing tasks. This fundamental knowledge then aids in improving employee motivation and designing effective T & D programmes for higher performance.
