A border conflict broke out between Uganda and South Sudan, the youngest nation in Africa, and world over in 2005. The two nations had enjoyed peaceful period of trade, right from the birth of South Sudan as a new nation. This interrupted trade that had flourished between the two countries. A study was conducted to find out the causes and the effects of this strained relationship on both states, and the trading communities.
