Dr. DiFilippi has lived in Los Angeles, California, for 43 years. As a third-generation Italian-American from Brooklyn in New York City, he relocated to L.A. in June of 1980. His hopes of becoming an aircraft manufacturer and fulfilling his dream to make the 1984 U.S. Men's Olympic Weightlifting Team were thwarted by lifestyle problems involving addiction.
