Produktbeschreibung
This is a hand illustrated coloring book for all ages with a hidden wordplay theme throughout the book which gives it a rather unique twist. Illustrator and author, Jennifer Linderman, takes artistic license to create whimsical and beautiful nature scenes for hours of coloring fun in her very first coloring book! Within the pages of the book you will find yourself immersed in a world of exotic plants and animals, each with a unique relationship to one another. "Botanimals", however, is more than just a coloring book. It aims to introduce a bit of wit and charm through it's hidden plant and animal names. This attribute is a direct reflection upon it's author who most enthusiastically enjoys the "game" of word play. This is the first volume in a series of future books boasting over 40 pages of whimsical nature scenes from bears to owls to toads to kangaroos, each with their own botanic partner to discover. A multitude of media can be used to colorize the book including colored pencils, gel pens or any other dry media desired. There are also a variety of pattern pages uniquely designed so that they may not only be used as coloring pages but if removed from the book can also be transformed into gift wrap, envelope liners or even folded into Origami objects! Enjoy the world of "Botanimals" and watch them come alive with your colorful interpretations!
Autorenporträt
Author and Illustrator, Jennifer Linderman, debuts her first coloring book, "Botanimals", translating her love of plants and animals into a spectacular coloring adventure. She began her adventures in art after the birth of her first child when she picked up the habit of paper folding. This passion for Origami quickly led to an obsession and soon afterwards her own business. She now owns "Origami Mami" where she brings the magic of Origami to hundreds of children each week in the East Bay, CA. as an after school enrichment program. Origami was the catalyst for her exploration of other media and after several years of experimenting with a multitude of art forms she landed firmly into the world of drawing. Even though Jennifer was not an artist by trade, she took her love of nursing and the sciences and enrolled in her first ever Botanic Illustration class. She knew then and there that this is what she had been searching for and a new career was born! Jennifer enjoys the fine detail that Botanic Illustration historically embraces and still practices today. She uses primarily graphite, pen and ink, and colored pencil to illustrate her chosen subjects. Her work has been displayed at numerous Open Studios in the East Bay and more of her work can be found at her website: jenniferlindermanart.com
