Lastly, the study analyzes the contribution of BPS towards the Buddhist people of Konkan region. It is an exploratory in nature which aims at exploring the changes that the members of BPS have been going through in the larger context of the changes that the BPS has been experiencing. The research specifically aims a(220)t analyzing the changes in their geo-political-religious conditions and its impact on the traditional way of life. The study is based on the primary data collected from various Branches of BPS of Greater Mumbai city. The unit of analysis is the Buddhist member of BPS, youth and women.

Sameer Ujwala Vishram Mohite earned his M.A. in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and went on to the exchange programme to Stockholm University, Sweden and Tulane University, USA as exchange student. He has worked as Teaching Assistant in School of Social Work, TISS. Currently he is pursuing Master of Philosophy from TISS.
