Melissa Wyllie grew up in south Florida, spending summers and holidays in Alabama, where her family raised her and her sister up on its stories, cemeteries and the special eccentricities of the South. With a degree in journalism from the University of Alabama, her writing career has crossed from journalism to corporate communications, from poetry to short stories. Her first novel, Boundless, will be released in 2015. Melissa is the editor of a 2012 book of Poetry, Skinny Dipping in Daylight, and contributed marketing insight for a soon-to-be-released book on writing by award-winning author Anne Jones. Melissa lives in Nashville with her husband and their two literary-marked daughters: Magnolia Blake and Arabella Marion Wilde. She is a passionate preservationist spending much of her time protecting brick and mortar monuments of our past. In addition to book events, Melissa also speaks about the importance of preserving history, and how historic places feed creativity
