The processes of production, industrialization, commercialization and consumption have acquired new forms: in the agricultural sector, the current challenge is to be competitive in quantity and quality of products, including processing, promotion and distribution strategies. In Mexico, the livestock subsector deserves special attention, especially due to its economic and social importance, particularly in the state of Veracruz, where there is a high livestock potential; 3.5 million hectares destined to ruminants, around 90,000 ranches with semi-specialized cattle, dual purpose system that contribute with 45% of the national milk production, offering 600 million liters per year.
