Brachiopods of the order Spiriferida are exceptionally widespread in the Lower Fen of the East European Platform (EEP). Brachiopods of the order Spiriferida are exceptionally widespread in the Lower Fen of the East European Platform (EEP). Termier, 1949, the genus Cyrtospirifer Nalivkin, 1918, and the species C. europeus Pushkin, sp.nov., C. wenyukovi Pushkin, sp.nov., C. veresnitsensis Pushkin, sp. nov, C. petrikovensis Pushkin, sp.nov., C. ljachovitsensis Linnik, 1966; C. brodi Wenyukov, 1886; the genus Pripyatispirifer Pushkin, 1996, its type species P. belorussicus (Lyashenko,1959), the genus Cyrtiopsis Grabau, 1923 and species C. unifersus Zhejba, 2004; the genus Longilaminaspiri fer. Pushkin, gen. nov. and its species L. Lyashenkoi Pushkin, sp. nov., and L. acer Pushkin, sp.nov.; and the genus Belarusispiri fer gen. nov. and its type species B. liplyanensis Pushkin, sp.nov.

V.I. Pushkin è nato nel 1944 a Kem, nella Repubblica di Carelia. Nel 1974 ha difeso con successo la sua tesi di dottorato e nel 1987 la sua tesi di dottorato intitolata "Ordovician bryozoans of the East European Platform (composition, distribution, communities)". Grazie alle sue ricerche, è stata rivelata la composizione sistematica completa delle faune di briozoi dell'Ordoviciano della piattaforma dell'Europa orientale.
