Keeping in mind the stress protective properties of BRs in various crops, the present work was undertaken. The survey of literature revealed scanty information on the effects of BRs on cereal crops under salt stress. Maize, one of the important cereal crop, was taken for the present study in order to observe the effect of brassinosteroids (28-homobrassinolide and 24- epibrassinolide) on growth, biochemical parameters like protein content, lipid peroxidation and activities of antioxidative enzymes (superoxide dismutase, guaiacol peroxidase, ascorbate peroxidase, catalase and glutathione…mehr

In addition to this qualitative analysis of proteins and isoenzyme visualization of some antioxidative enzymes using one-dimensional SDS-PAGE and Native-PAGE was also studied in Zea mays L. seedlings grown under salt (NaCl) stress.
