Mary Poffenroth, PhD, is an award-winning researcher and member of the biology faculty at San Jose State University. Her groundbreaking approach to fear and risk-taking, along with her insights on the biology of fear, have made her a leader in the field of fear science. Her work, inspired by her own experiences as a multi-cultural scientist, has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Science, Entrepreneur, National Geographic, TedEd, HuffPost, TIME, Refinery 29, and Inbound.
