They completed the 24,000-mile coast-to-coast journey over a 12-month period in 1996. Each Princeton offered its own unique blend of people, history and quirks. They saw the largest cedar canoe in the state of Louisiana, and investigated a long-abandoned mill in Georgia. During the journey, they encountered friendly and often curious residents who probably never gave much thought to the name of their town. Except that they called it home. Those people welcomed their visitors with warmth and hospitality, and the result is a charming account of the kindness of people all over the country. Ken Perry masterfully pulls together interesting historical facts and the unique aspects of these towns. "Breakfast In Princeton, U.S.A." offers an inside look at the hardworking people who live in each and every Princeton. Along the way, the author kept careful notes about every detail, including what was on the menu for breakfast. The trip culminated in Princeton, New Jersey, where the Perrys dined with the president of Princeton University. More than 80 photos and a dozen maps accompany the text and provide a colorful illustration that brings the reader right into the driver's seat.
