Breast cancer is a disease that yearly affects many women around the world, causing suffering and uncertainty. Therefore, health services need to organize to meet this growing demand. But it is also necessary that this process is not focused only on the sick person as in most cases, but on the family, because it suffers as a whole. This book presents a study in which couples who stayed together during the experience of cancer, report their experiences in dealing with the suffering caused by disease, and for the maintenance of the conjugal relationship, during diagnosis and treatment. This book aims to contribute to the reflection of the different health care services specialized in treatment of chronic diseases.
