Asthma is a chronic disease whose current world prevalence is of approximately 300million people. The sub-diagnosis and sub-treatment of asthma in the elderly are alarming. This book is innovative given the inexistence of publications on breathing exercises for asthmatic elderly. Initially, the author tackles conceptual terms of asthma. Afterwards, there is a discussion on the world growth of the elderly population and of the prevalence of asthma in this population.
