Caroline Simmons is the pen name of June Ford, who took the name from her maternal grandmother. Caroline is continuing to write the story of her eventful life, which began on a Norfolk farm during WWII. She inherited her campaigning spirit from her suffragette grandmothers, who both inspired her political ambitions. She is well known as a local councillor, and has been Mayor of Lowestoft.
