This work is one of the attempts to study British foreign policy in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. On the basis of this study, the objectives were achieved and new conclusions were drawn on those areas of UK foreign policy that were not sufficiently covered. This paper compares the directions of UK foreign policy, as well as analyses the foreign policy course during the reign of three different Prime Ministers. The main trends and contradictions of the UK policy towards the USA, EU and Russia during the study period are revealed. The contours of cooperation between Russia and Great Britain in bilateral format, as well as within international organizations, forums and associations are outlined. The analysis of the reasons for Great Britain's exit from the EU is carried out.
