The purpose of the present book is presented the Very High Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) technology. VDSL is an emerging broadband technology and it is the next and highest speed generation of DSL. VDSL provides service up to 100 Mbps for residential and business networking.The book is organized as follows: Chapter 1 gives a general overview of the Broadband Access Technologies. This is followed by a more detailed description of the xDSL technologies and the introduction of VDSL technology in the chapter 2. The different types of modulation proposed for VDSL and the different duplexing methods are treated in ch 3 and ch 4 respectively.In chapter 5 are discussed the VDSL spectral compatibility. VDSL deployments are presented in ch 6 and the VDSL offered services is treated in Ch 7.Finally, in chapters 8, 9 and 10 we make a market analysis with a business case study for VDSL.
