The young man Logan was told to stay home. He was instructed not to come. But gala's were "his thing," he had worked so hard to be accepted on the fringe of the gala elite. How dare Sacu forbid him coming! Rebelling, Logan got dressed, smiled at Sacu as she frowned at his arrival. Resisting her strong suggestion he leave dancing with her, Logan pouted as dance over, she thanked him for the dance as if she was a stranger, surveyed the scene, left. Pouting, not going to waste a good gala for her, Logan stayed innocently unaware he was dancing right into... His own personal hell... R18, This story mentions rape, torture, as Logan struggles to break free, even... heal? (This story starts after the event, there is mention in flashback but nothing graphic.) This is Logan's journey from victim to survivor with a slight detour of attempted murder. Join Logan as he interacts with characters such as Commander Wallace (who would like him to testify), Sacu (whom despite his crush, prefers his father, and may or may not have a duty of care), his counselor Bernard and his horse Jaxx amongst others such as Dalanie who created this mess in the first place. Constable Fenton just wants to get home to his family. Fred wants a job. Fred senior, is never more alive than when in his beloved national reserve away from his controlling sister. Mythias wants an explanation. The robes that survive, may just want the true law, again... There is a sci-fi element but otherwise the story is set mainly just out of a New Zealand town and told in an easy style that will take you there. This book is a work of fiction, any names or similarities to real people or events is unintended. Names like Wallace could have just as easily been Henderson or some other name.
