BISHOP LEROY C. E. NEWMAN has been pastor of the Friendly Church of the Apostolic Faith and General Overseer of Friendly Church Ministries International for 50 years and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and a master's and PhD in the sociology of Religion. He is a graduate Blanch Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Florida; born to hare cropper, Bishop Newman worked on the farm with his grandparents, John and Rosa Lee; He is the oldest of 11 brothers and sisters; he owes his ministry development to his Aunt Millie who introduced his to Christ. Bishop is married with 3 Children of his own; Israel, Tramain, and Laroi; His wife, Mattie is and accomplished soloist who has 2 recordings of her own. In addition to ministry Bishop Newman was Vice-President of Educational Services at Global Business Institute for 30 years. Bishop believes hat "Commitment, Dedication, and Devotion turns vision into reality, and that God will never take your anywhere in ministry where you are forced to retreat.
