Autorenporträt
Janaka Bowman Lewis, Ph.D. lives near Charlotte, North Carolina and teaches English, African American Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies at UNC Charlotte. She is a native of Augusta, Georgia and a graduate of Duke University and Northwestern University. Most importantly, though, she is the mother to Justus Daniel (who inspired this book) and Delany Nia, who bring delight to her and her husband Daryl daily.
