Mildred Alice Edwards grew up in a small, backwoods town in Western Kentucky just a mile from the Ohio River. She had dreams while growing up of being able to travel in order to see as much of the United States as she could.After the birth of her boys, she worked various job throughout her early career years. Little did she know that there was a career in her future that would help her fulfill her dream. For she and her husband would start driving an 18- wheeler truck all over this vast country of ours.Not only was she able to see the sights that the U.S.A had to offer, she was able to see some of Canada too. With all of the sights that she had witnessed there was one that she could not have imagined.On one of the trips in the big purple truck, she was to see a sight that would have made most people run for the hills.
