As the demand for Bt cotton has been increasing, it has invoked novel interest and exciting emotion among a large section of personalities like plant breeders, social scientists, environmentalists and on the likely impact of Bt cotton. Although, the empirical work is confined to AndhraPradesh in its analytical framework, methodology and discussion of relevant issues has much wider application.
