I had no aspirations to become an author. English was not my favorite subject, but, for some reason, after graduating from high school, I dived into multi different writing classes. Attaining a few Executive Assistant positions to high profile Executives contributed to a successful career. After getting married and relocating to Tacoma, Washington, I landed a staff writer position for a small newspaper. However, what really changed my passion for writing was after another move to California, while working for the City of Palm Springs. I jumped at the opportunity to contribute feature stories about employees' achievements in their monthly newsletter, "City Beat". It was fun to witness their excitement seeing their name in print, and, more so, having their fellow workers see them in a different light.I never thought I would write a book! It was my friends' reactions to my engagement at 52 that prompted me to gather stories of women who married after 40+ to inspire others not to give up, no matter what age. I include 'secrets' of what held me back. It took me a while to sort them out, but I'm confident readers will discover their magic within to move towards their dream of being with "the one."I had no aspirations to become an author.
