Autorenporträt
Samantha Boardman (Sam) was born and raised in Stockport, South of Manchester, England, UK. She is the youngest child in the family and has an older Brother and Sister. Sam left school as soon as she could and worked in Insurance for almost fourteen years. In those years in insurance, she carried out a variety of roles and even studied to be a Financial Adviser. Once she passed these exams, and was qualified to give Financial advice, she moved to Toulouse, South of France with her long-term partner at the time. Sam settled into France well and eventually worked for British Aerospace for almost 17 years. She bought land, built a house and even became fluent in French and still has French friends to this day. In 2002 Sam was offered the opportunity of a short-term secondment to Adelaide, South Australia. Never shy of a challenge, Sam jumped at the chance. The secondment was a welcome relief and was initially for two months, but the arrangement worked well and she was eventually offered full time, permanent employment in Adelaide, South Australia. Sam eventually left British Aerospace and took up other forms of work. During these twelve months, she raised a Guide Dog puppy "Monty", did all sorts of Volunteer work including worked for the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service), Lifeline (the Suicide Prevention Helpline) and also took the opportunity to travel and explore overseas - even heading back to Toulouse to visit long-time friends. Sam has always worked in a logistical, number crunching, fact finding environment and eventually founded Spending Made Easy in 2016. Sam loves talking, planning and problem solving, but most of all, she loves helping people. Sam has a non-judgemental, "tell me anything" personality and is never short of something to say. Sam has budgeted all her life and is now an expert in the field of Spending Plans.
