A former newspaper editor in New Orleans, Lan Sluder is the author of more than 20 books on travel, retirement and other subjects. His books have been published by Fodor's, Frommer's, Equator, Avalon/Moon, Random House and other publishing companies. Among his books are more than 15 on Belize, on which country he has been reporting for nearly three decades. Besides book-length works, Sluder has contributed to newspapers and magazines around the world, including USA Today, Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, Caribbean Travel & Life, Where to Retire, New Orleans Business, Canada's Globe & Mail, Bangkok Post and many others.
