Bishop Clarence V. Russell III has been fulfilling the call to preach the Gospel and fulfill a mandate to bring healing and hope to people across the country. His focus has been centered on developing parishioners and proselytes at St. Paul Baptist Church, Suffolk, Virginia. A graduate of Chowan University, Bishop Russell has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion. He was voted onto the Chowan University Board of Ministers. He is also a Harris Scholar that has studied abroad in England. After being baptized by his grandfather at an early age and growing up under the leadership of his father, Russell III heard a call from the Lord and at the age of 18 preached his initial sermon. Two years later, he was appointed as the Assistant Pastor of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church with a congregation of just over 2,000 people. He helped revamp and build the youth department. In November 2000, Bishop Russell, III was called to be the Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church, Suffolk, Virginia. He has been diligently working for the fulfillment of the vision for this ministry that will help to heal, deliver, and set the captives free. He has a great love for God and His people. The five-fold assignment for the church is Healing, Economic Empowerment, Authentic Worship, Lifestyle Transitioning, and Serving the Community. Simply put, St. Paul H.E.A.L.S. Bishop has founded several ministries while leading the people of St. Paul. He mentors young elementary school boys in the Suffolk Public School System and his church has been named Partner of the Year by the Suffolk Public School system for its work.He also serves on the Suffolk Public Schools Superintendent's Key Communicators Network. In an effort to become active in his community, Bishop Russell has attended the Suffolk Neighborhood College. In 2012, Bishop Russell published his first book entitled Transitioning Into Kingdom Living. He is married to Elder Jaimi Brown Russell and they have four children.
