Youth is a transition from childhood to adulthood, and a key part of it is the move from school to the job market. In Yemen this transition is a key concern for most young people, particularly given the challenges of underdevelopment, augmented by instability and uncertainty. This book is a research undertaking into the perceptions and views of young people taking part in a post-secondary educational endeavour in Yemen focusing on the tourism sector. It presents literature backing policy decisions to invest in employment-centered-education towards building human capital, however its key striking conclusions is the disparity between these policy decisions and the students' perceptions towards how useful is this education is towards strengthening their earning potential. All of this against the background of the Arab Spring events in the country.
