Stephen J. Mitchell grew up on cartoons and comic books during the greatest decade of pop-culture known to mankind. Born and raised in upstate New York, he went on to raise three children of his own in the suburbs of Syracuse. A lover of nature, he enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking; his greatest achievement, however, was his trek up Mt. Marcy, the highest peak in New York State. After writing countless articles for blogs and pop-culture websites, he won an award for his short story in an anthology published to raise proceeds for a charity. Combining his passion for kids, pop-culture, and adventure he is now focused on writing novels for a new generation of readers who live in a fast-paced world seeking instant gratification.
