Burnout is a quite frequent type of stress in professionals who perform their daily work in direct relationship with people. Social exclusion is a problem of global and national interest. Lately, an increase in the prevalence of burnout syndrome has been observed in the general working population. Likewise, the number of people at risk of social exclusion seems to be increasing. Throughout this paper we will carry out a literature review to analyze the state of research on this syndrome in professionals working with groups at risk of social exclusion in specific centers.
