The objective was to identify the prevalence of the presentation of the QTS and its profiles in workers of the Family Medicine Unit as well as to examine the association between the QTS, according to the Gil-Monte model, and indicators of cardiovascular health and oxidative stress. A sample of 83 workers of the IMSS Family Medicine Unit was found, the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of Burnout Syndrome (CESQT) (which evaluates illusion, disenchantment, burnout and guilt at work) was applied, and the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of Work Stress was also taken, as well as measurements of waist and hip circumference with a tape measure in centimeters, measurement of blood pressure with a mercury sphygmomanometer, weight and height with scales and a conventional stadiometer previously calibrated. Finally, biological blood samples were taken for the identification of oxidative stress (nitrite levels with Griess reaction, and ceruloplasmin levels by radial immnodiffusion assay and presence of lipid peroxidation) and blood biometry. Everything was analyzed and showed important results.
