Being a superhero is pretty awesome. Abigail Turner finally has everything she's worked for: A successful career at The Hero Relief Center, San Arbor's number one superhero company, equipped with a sidekick and corner office, and a movie-like fantasy home life with firefighter Thomas Sanders that she never thought possible when he was the villain, Cinder. When an arsonist targets San Arbor, Abigail's perfect life is in the cross hairs. On top of stopping this new threat, she must navigate a minefield of blackmail, unwanted advances, and an oppressive mayor who wants any excuse to undermine the superhero's authority in the city. For Abigail, catching the arsonist isn't just a job-it's personal. After fighting to distance herself from being a reckless hero, will she resort to her old ways to keep what she loves most safe? Her city, her career, her friendships could all go up in smoke if she fails. Unmasking the arsonist wouldn't be difficult if all the signs didn't point toward Thomas.
