Dr. Michelle T. Violanti (PhD, University of Kansas) currently serves as an associate professor in the School of Communication Studies at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she previously served as the basic course director for public speaking and business and professional communication. Dr. Violanti teaches courses in instructional communication, communication theory, research methods, organizational communication, and leadership/followership. She has been certified in online course design, review of courses designed for online instruction, and universal design for learning. Her research, focused on instructional and organizational communication, has appeared in Communication Education, Basic Course Annual, Human Communication Research, Annals of the International Communication Association, and Frontiers in Communication. She is the coauthor of Follow, Communicate, Lead: Creating Competent Connections and Dynamic Public Relations: The 24/7 PR Cycle. Dr. Stephanie Kelly (PhD, The University of Tennessee) currently serves as a professor in the Department of Business Information Systems and Analytics at North Carolina A&T State University (A&T). Dr. Kelly has taught a variety of courses at A&T related to data and communication, including business communication, organizational communication, computer-mediated communication, research methods, micro computer applications, and foundations of business analytics. Dr. Kelly has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as International Journal of Business Communication, Business and Professional Communication Quarterly, Management Communication Quarterly, and International Journal of Conflict Management. She has also edited three prior books: Computer-Mediated Communication for Business: Theory to Practice, Applied and Therapeutic Cases in Health and Humor, and Online Instructional Communication.
