Despite legal regulations and economic advantages, accessible web sites are rarely implemented in private sector organizations. This book introduces a holistic, managerial approach to identify business impacts of web accessibility in three industry sectors. The findings of this case study research include organizations' experiences with web accessibility implementation and generate a sound basis for management decision recommendations. Moreover, a flexible business model for an Austrian web accessibility quality mark is introduced that facilitates and accelerates a national implementation.

The Author: Marie-Luise Leitner is a member of the E-business Group at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Vienna. She received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Vienna in 2009.
