The aim of this book is to evaluate the influence of company director characteristics on the assessment of the business climate in Cameroon. It uses a multinomial regression model applied to a sample of 12,062 companies extracted from the database of the second General Census of Enterprises in Cameroon (RGE-2).At the end of the study, it emerges that: (i) managers with a high level of education (BAC +2 and more) have a higher probability of rating the business climate as good; (ii) managers who have been with the company for a short time (three to eight years) have a lower probability of rating the business climate as good; (iii) non-African foreign managers have a higher probability of rating the business climate as good. Finally, it emerges that 55% of managers' characteristics provide a good prediction of the business climate in Cameroon.
