The target population was 617 Hair Salons from Eldoret town; beneficiaries of financial institutions loans and which had been in operation for at least three years by the time the study was being conducted. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 123 Hair Salon owners who had benefited from bank loans. The survey data was obtained with the aid of structured questionnaires.
