Rezensionen
Selected for CBC's Summer Showcase 2024: Imagination Celebration

"Bustling Cities of the World is an oversized book that celebrates the world's major and busiest cities, from Cairo to London and Sydney to Vancouver. Introductions to each capture a sense of place and environment ("It's raining again-no surprise to Londoners. Nobody leaves home without a hat, cap, or umbrella-just look at Sherlock Holmes, a palace guard, even the Queen!"). Each city receives a two-page spread packed with illustrations of its major attributes, from foods and historical buildings to local districts, bridges, markets, and more. The result is a lively leisure read that holds educational attraction, as well." -Midwest Book Review

"The illustrations are charmingly rendered and I like that each city's illustrations have a unifying color. This makes the page full oftiny illustrations feel cohesive. I feel like this would be a good book to read with younger kids, although older kids would probably appreciate theillustrations as well." -NetGalley-Reviewer

"This visual guide is a feast for the eyes. Each city is represented in a distinct colour palette that unifies the elements that comprise it, as well as reveals something about that place. I appreciated seeing the land acknowledgement on the Vancouver spread and would love to see another volume (or several!) of this collection for some lesser known cities - this book is so beautifully crafted, eye-catching, and engaging." -Fairytales and Fingerpaints, IG

"Today, I'm sharing a book all three of us love exploring and planning future vacations around (at least my kids are, I guess they are planning on winning the lottery too). Bustling CITIES of the World, from rainy London to sun-torched Cairo you'll feel like your right in the thick of these amazing cities all around the world. How we enjoy this book... We choose a city, and spend time on the page looking at and talking about all the pictures that represent the city. Then each kid chooses a couple things to learn more about. I love how this book has provided a path to interactive learning and sparked an interest in travel and learning about different cultures. I also love that it's such a visual guide.
