Aunt Mary has a really large family and has literally dozens of nieces and nephews. She lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with a couple of cats and she wanted all her younger family members to have a story about her favorites. Story telling has always been part of her family tradition and she loves to share stories with both kids and grownups. There have always been cats in Aunt Mary's life, but when Butch the cat came to live with her it was a whole different experience. Naturally, he became the hero of this story, along with his sidekick, Sundance. Since the cats like to "help" her while she writes, Aunt Mary waits until they nap. So, if they keep taking their naps every day, Butch and Sundance may have even more adventures.Anna Berger is one of Aunt Mary's nieces. Although she has a day job in the Information Technology area, she is a natural and gifted artist. There was no better choice to create the pictures of Butch and Sundance. Every drawing was labeled "adorable" by everyone who saw them. Indeed, she has made Butch and Sundance live forever!Kate Berger is also a niece to Aunt Mary. She earned an MFA in writing from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, and she currently works in Academia. When she agreed to edit this story, there were only a few chapters completed. She was kind and complementary when it was deserved and firm in helping guide the storyline. Her guidance made it read the way Aunt Mary described to her and her expert help was much appreciated!
