Gary J. Naples is a well-known automotive parts inventory management and parts financial management consultant. Over the course of 30 years, he has worked with: General Motors, Ford Motor Company, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Hyundai Motor America, Mazda Motor of America, Inc., American Suzuki Motor Corporation, and SEMA, as well as internationally with Interamericana Trading Corporation (now Inchcape Barbados Inc.), Barbados. Gary has provided all facets of parts management and inventory control consulting services, which have included creating operational guidelines for dealership parts department square foot requirements, department financial operating metrics, and inventory control settings and has also created or cocreated many facilitated workshops, web-based training (WBT), computer-based training (CBT), and informational booklets for the same. Gary was also an adjunct instructor at Luzerne County Community College (LCCC), Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, for their Automotive Technology program. Naples also personally conducted workshops and seminars, training hundreds of industry personnel. He has authored many magazine articles on the subject of parts management and inventory control and has published two books with SAE International (formerly the Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc.): By the Numbers: Principles of Automotive Parts Management and Beyond the Numbers: Managing the Assets of an Automobile Parts Business.
