By the Tyronza River is Joyce Harvell's first historical fiction novel. She is an accomplished artist and has won awards with Art St. Louis, and her artwork has been featured in several art shows. She enjoys painting and reading, and is the mother of three children. She has always been inspired by the rich history of the United States of America. She is retired and lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
