Katie Duffy Schumacher is an educator and public speaker as well as the author of Don't Press Send: a Mindful Approach to Social Media; an Education in Cyber Civics. She is delighted that Bye-Bye, Wi-Fi! is her first picture book. Katie holds a master's degree in early childhood education and is the founder of the Don't Press Send Campaign, and her approach to mindful social media practices is applicable to all ages. Katie works tirelessly as an advocate for today's children, promoting and educating for kind and careful online communication and the importance of finding technology's place in our lives. When she is not presenting to schools around the globe, Katie loves to spend her time outdoors; kayaking, biking, meditating, or sipping coffee on the front porch. She resides in New York with her husband, three children, and two adorable (but hairy) dogs.
