The university is located in the Little Italy section of downtown San Diego. CIBU is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The university offers a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science in International Management (MSIM), and upper division classes leading to a Bachelor of Science in Management (BS). CIBU was founded by Michael McManus, Ph.D. and his German partner, Professor Dr. Klaus Evard. Dr. McManus is a graduate of Cornell University and Wharton School of Business. He also studied at Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands. In his educational career, Dr. McManus has taught business at PepperdineUniversity and served as Assistant Vice President at San Diego State University. Dr. Evard is the founder of the European Business School, the first private business school in Germany.
