Mart Matthews has been writing about football for more years than he cares to remember, and was a regular contributor to The Footballer magazine, a quality publication on the game's history. He has also been extensively involved in the production of quizzes for various sports-related functions. His first book, published in 2019, was the well-received Racing Post Quiz Book, and he is now engaged in a projected series on individual football clubs.
