James Christian lives in the United States with his wife Laura, his son Ian, and his collection of old books. He has eclectic interests, and he has also gained recognition for winning several national drum competitions, writing The Art of Multi-Tenor Drumming, and composing music. He credits his high school English teacher Francis Bliss for encouraging him in his writing talents.
