Rice is the " White Gold " for Cambodian. It is the central to Cambodian agricultural sector, not only do the majority of Khmer farmers depend both directly and indirectly on the success of the rice crop each year, and as it is the main food staple, rice production is a big factor in the national effort to promote food security. The Royal Government of Cambodia has declared that supporting the development of the national rice value-chain is one of its first priorities.
