This research seeks to make an appraisal of the laws on the individual rights of employees under National instruments and to find out if these instruments efficiently guarantee the expected protection to them. This study highlights the rules governing the protection of employees rights under the Cameroonian Labour Legislation. It explores the contractual and statutory rights of a worker. The methods used in the realisation of these objectives are the doctrinal and analytical methods. Through this research, it was discovered that, although enormous efforts have been made by the Cameroonian legislators to safeguard the rights of individuals during the course of employment, literature however, indicates that the violation of such rights still occurs. We, therefore, suggest that, the existing mechanisms for the protection of employees should be reinforced so as to upgrade the status, integrity and welfare of the formers in Cameroon.
