This document aims at better presenting the reasons behind the success of cameroonian SMEs in foreing market. We started out from a literature, according to which Cameroonian SMEs are characterized by limited financial resources, unqualified staff, weak commercial power, insufficient research-development and innovation, low turnover and ageing technologies in comparison to their competitors from other continents. Such characteristics cannot enable a SME to stay abreast in a sustainable manner in foreing market. Yet, other studies reveal the existence of Cameroonian SMEs with markets abroad that have already gone beyond the start-off point (5 years). The objective of this work is to identify the strategies of these enterprises and their performances. To attain this objective, we have mobilized existing work. These were completed by an empirical study on forty-one Cameroonian SMEs. The results obtained indicated that Cameroonian SMEs remain in foreign markets because they tailored to the environmental requirements. This shows that ultimately the Cameroonian SMEs have undergone a transformation under the effect of the threat to their survival due to increased competition.
