Claude Assira ist Absolvent der Universität Panthéon-Assas (Paris 2), wo er nacheinander einen Master in Privatrecht mit dem Zusatz "Carrières Judiciaires", ein Diplom in Strafrecht und Kriminalwissenschaften (DEA) und einen Doktortitel in Rechtswissenschaften (PhD) erwarb.Seit dem 14. Januar 1998 ist er Rechtsanwalt und Dozent für Strafrecht und Strafprozessrecht.
