In Cameroon, the road transport sector is increasingly faced with scourges that constitute a major obstacle to its operation. Thus, traffic accidents, urban disorders organized by road users, and infractions committed by them are commonplace. It should be noted that human failure, particularly that of road transporters, the main actors in the sector, is the main cause. Faced with this problem, it is urgent to address the issue of the application of criminal law to road transporters. Indeed, Cameroonian criminal law is ineffectively applied to road transporters, but this failure can be reformed through the establishment of a more effective repression taking into account the improvements in view of the current evolution of society. This reform will consist firstly in eradicating corruption in the road transport sector through a more rigorous application of criminal sanctions to the various actors in this practice, and secondly, in reinforcing the criminal sanctions specific to roadtransporters by principal and secondary penalties.
